Puglia in October
It was half term and we fancied a break, so we booked a flight to Brindisi, in the heel of Italy, and rented a two bed place in a charming Puglian Masseria, highly recommed it http://www.masseriaabaterisi.com/. It was out of season, and the weather varied between 22-15 degrees, so it wasn't a holiday for lazing in the sun. However lots to do with some quite amazing places in a small geographic area.
running through the streets of Ostuni, the White City.
Probably the kids favourite day at the safari park and amusement park. It was so quiet we went round the park twice, and every ride we went on, we were the only people and got to go on twice. Good job really cos it was another of those amazingly old amusement parks with rides from the dark ages, not that the kids seem to notice.
inside the Masseria, Malcolm has to duck everywhere he goes.
Crazy kids in pool, you wouldn't catch me in there without a wet suit. Brrrr.
wandering around the olive trees in the garden
at Alberobello, a World Heritage place, full of tiny white domed houses.
Playing on one of the many beaches.
