Before and After

Isn't the body an amazing thing. Here I am at 9 months and here I am 4 months later. Can hardly remember myself being so big. Have been going to the gym and having some personal training sessions to get me back in to it, but essentially my body sorted itself out without too much intervention from me. I am now only 4 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, and can run 3 miles again.

Giving Thanks

We went up NY State to the Finger Lakes for Thanksgiving, where we rented a log cabin on a lake with Nicki, Chas and Elise (5). I used to go to University with Nicki many eons ago and now they live in Detroit. We have spent the last 5 Thanksgivings together somewhere in the US. It's tradition that I choose the venue and that it always involves an epic journey for those guys, a snow storm and Elise being sick in the car. Well this year was no exception. Only this year we brought our own baby, thankfully no sick in the car for us. Izzy got to try out her new Columbia fleecy all in one. Malc. got a taste of things to come as he dragged Elise back up the slopes on a sledge. Elise had fun playing with Izzy, probably more fun than Izzy had being played with...Was a great weekend, before the big return to work.
