Playdate with Hilma

Last weekend we met Hilma from the creche and the two of them sampled the many delights of the Champs de Mars..their usual haunt. Bella wore her new Ferrari cap a present from one of Malc's recent business trips and naturally she chose the red sports car...or was that Malc?

Vacances Plozevet 2007

Well finally I am updating the blog. Lots of pictures from our holiday - 3 weeks in a villa in Brittany. Very French of us, was fabulous, the weather was unexpectedly great. We had lots of family time and fun. Bella did some potty training, moved in to a big bed and her English language skills improved dramatically (in contrast to her French skills). In the middle week we had a very welcome visit of Jane and family, an old school friend from the UK.
After the first day of torrential rain (lots of potty training), the weather cleared up and we spent lots of days on the various beaches around and about.

We were never far from food or the next snack

We got out and about, a did some gentle cliff walking
Lots of fun with Jane, Bruce, Maddy and Izzy. The three girls slept in the same room, and Bella moved out of a cot in to a bed (bottom of a bunk bed). It was somewhat chaotic at bed time as they egged each other on, getting in and out of bed, switching lights on and off.
It was really nice to have fabulous company and some friends for Bella.

We celebrated Bella's second birthday. She got lots of presents, although Izzy and Maddy were a little frustrated at how slowly Bella opened them. Bella wanted to play with each present as she opened it, obviously a lot to learn. They had hot dogs and cake for tea, definitely the only meal they all ate without a single complaint.

The villa itself, carefully chosen, was fabulously modern, with a huge deck with a sea view, a lawn. It also had a pool which we didn't use very much, as the paddling pool on the deck was much more fun. We often had a BBQ in the evening watching the sunset. Lovely.
