Orange and Lilac

Here's Isabella in her latest outfit. I have just cleared out her wardrobe, and have a huge pile of things to sell on ebay. She is now bursting out of the 3-6 month clothes, so she is moving in to her 6 - 12 month outfits. This one is really for summer but paired with some leggings we should be OK inside where it's warm. If we wait til summer she'll be too big.

Blizzard Beers

Many of you will have seen that we were hit by extreme weather this weekend. 15 inches of snow outside our front door that had fallen over night. We quickly came to the conclusion that the plan to drive to friends in Connecticut was not going to happen. We thought carefully whether we could make it 5 blocks to the gym, and quickly decided that wasn't an option either. However the option of going uptown to watch Wales play Scotland in the 6 Nations Rugby Tournament in an Irish Bar at 10am, and also celebrate (Scottish) Callum's birthday, seemed somehow strangely possible. So Isabella donned her Columbia Ski Salopettes and Jacket and baby sized Ugg Boots (thanks Inna) and off we went through the Blizzard. Isabella is one quarter Welsh, so was later seen sporting her teams colours, and clearly her support paid off, sorry Callum. After a healthy fried breakfast including baked beans and black pudding (yum yum!) and Guinness (for some) we contemplated what one could do on such a snowy day. The hard core amongst us continued and later found ourselves in P.J. Clarkes some 10 blocks away where after a swift beer at the bar, Izzy slept off the excitement of the game. We then settled ourselves at a table, Izzy with the girls, for another healthy option of fish and chips (for me) and mushy peas for Izzy. We managed to make it home in time for bath time and a good nights sleep was had by all. Gina Ford's worst nightmare.

Come on Wales

Sitting with the girls about to order fish and chips. Izzy brought her own mushy peas.
