Where is the snow ?

We decided not to ski this weekend. We've been most weekends since Christmas, which have all been loevely. However it hasn't snowed since Christmas and the slopes starting to get a bit icy. This week was particularly warm. So much so we had brunch at ours today, outside, on the deck. We still haven't got the handrail fixed mind you or a lawn, but otherwise it was lovely, a taste of the summer to come hopefully. The kids tested out the garden table and chairs, whilst we tested out the rattan furniture (and the local Chasselas). We contemplated how much to get a pool installed for the summer? Lovely as it was we are still hoping for some more snow to take us through the season, before we get out the BBQ.

Bella thinks she woudl like a rabbit as a pet. Which given she is rarely found knowingly within 5 metres of an animal is a bit of a stretch of imagination. So I took the opportunity to borrow Lynsey's rabbit for the weekend. Lynsey is Sebby's (aka Dracula's) teacher at pre-school. The master plan was to demonstrate how hard looking after a rabbit was, and that not wanting to touch one was not going to help. However after an initial shyness the kids loved stroking her and playing with her, feeding her and Bella even volunteered to sweep up the "mess". Hmmm, the plan backfired. Although borrowing a rabbit every now and again feels like the way to go to us.
