Cadbury is dead, long live Kraft...

OK, so am thinking have to make some comment on Cadbury here. What to say? Having spent the last 5 months in defense and working on the basis that Cadbury remains independent, we are 3 days in to being owned by Kraft and moving rapidly through the change curve. So what does this mean ? All the coffee machines at work have been changed from Nespresso to Bosch/Cafe Noir/Tassimo. The Nescafe Gold Blend has changed to Kenco. We can now eat Toblerone, Milka and Terry's Chocolate Oranges without guilt, and it turns out just about every biscuit (in Europe) is owned by Kraft. The Kraft Europe senior execs were in Rolle where I work today and things are moving. Kraft have been working on this plan in detail for the last year (at least) and we now have to catch up. For sure there will be some changes, but how quickly and in what direction is not yet clear. In the meantime we can all console ourselves with some extra calories and free coffee which appear to be in plentiful supply right now.

weekend off skiing

So we took a weekend off skiing to handle the social calendar (the kids not ours). On Saturday Polly's 3rd birthday where Bella did a little turn with Sebby to musical statues. Followed by Disney Princesses on Ice, then on Sunday Melody's 5th birthday. Fun, fun, fun. I have to say Disney on Ice exceeded (my) expectations, and was on the mark compared to the Cinderella ballet, everyone kept their clothes on for a start. Our little ones all duly got dressed up, 2 Snow White's, 1 pink princess and a ladybird... We expected the arena to be full of litle girls dressed as princesses...turned out 99.9% of them were dressed in normal clothes so our bunch stood out. I am wondering to myself, did we live in America too long, or does the reputation for being boring in Switzerland start at such an early age.

Bella dances

..Sebby wrecks the place whilst Bella shows us some dance moves.
