Another show - in the choir

Bella,

was in a small production at her school. She was in the choir supporting a group of slightly older girls in a French language production

Bella's ballet show

It's show time, here is Bella in her ballet/dance show. She has been going to "Introduction to Dance" with her friend Bibi. In case you aren't sure Bella is far left hand side dancer, and Bibi is next to her. The tall woman in the middle is the teacher! Pretty impressive venue for a 4 year old I might say, a proper theatre in Nyon. A bit different form the church hall my ballet shows were in.

Here's the video:

Sebby's Show - "Sail on"

At Sebby's pre-school they take their shows very seriously. So having practiced over and over, the day finally came. The 2-3 year old class (Sebby's) had a song of their own "Mr Sun" from Barney the Dinosaur. They also joined in for the finale as sailors.

pre show nerves in the classroom

Sebby entres stage right, Silvia helping behind the scenes. Sebby despite crying behind the scenes actually entered the stage full of happiness, and had some fun. Not sure how much singing he did but he was good on the actions...

Mr Sun, sun

please shine down on me

a birthday party

.
It was Maddy's 5th birthday and we went for her party on the boat across the lake to Yvoire for a picnic. Taking two kids and a picnic was enough to carry, so I didn't manage to take the camera too, but here are some pictures before we left. Always a great excuse for a fun outfit.

a day trip to Annecy

We haven't been to Annecy in nearby France, in the two years we have lived here, and it's a very popular destination. So last weekend with the sun out and a scorching 30 degree heat we went for a picnic by the lake. It was a lovely day. Sebby scared a few of the locals with his fading spots, as mothers whisked their children away from him, but otherwise we all had fun.

Bella took Zoe the horse out for a ride, and had a passenger for a while, until the woman in charge noticed...

Chicken Pox

Just when we thought we'd made it through the sick season, Sebby came out with chicken pox. Luckily he didn't seem to suffer much, and is well in recovery now. He will be the healthiest adult going as he seems to have spent most of his time to date with one virus or another.

Medieval Day...again

So the thing about Switzerland is it's predictable. Every year the same things happen, so we went again to the medieval day (actually it's in France but you know what I mean). This year Sebby went as a knight. He doesn't look so happy cos he got sun tan cream in his eyes. However he did actually really enjoy it.

BBQ and water fun

Rachel and Richard the queen and king of BBQ getting the season off to a great start. Ours was more of an informal affair (not enough chairs!), but you can't beat it when the sun is out.

Wine tasting

And with the arrival of the sun comes the arrival of portes ouvertes. Always a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, drinking wine for free. Sebby in his pirate outfit to add an extra dimension.
