Furniture is here
Here's a picture of the apartment building. We're actually overlooking the courtyard (i.e. the back) on the second floor. We saw our neighbours place, which resembled the Palace of Versailles and realised that we are indeed in the cheap seats, despite our ceiling frescoe.
Moving in day
Ever wondered what your life would look like in a box? Well here is ours. I must say we managed pretty well for 3 weeks with what we shipped in advance, so it's actually a bit horrifying to see so many boxes of "stuff" turn up. On the otherhand, the main piece of furniture are indeed a joy to have.and here is "stuff" going up the "elevator" and through the window
Here we have one room in place, no pictures on the walls yet though. The rest of the rooms are still in disorder.

The Statue of Liberty in Paris
Spot the difference, one is in New York and the other is in Paris. The NYC Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the USA. It is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy apparently. In return the Americans of Paris built a 35 ft replica. There's a rumour going round the French would like the original one back now.
